In addition to its significant role in creating the AVE high-speed Madrid-Seville train, CAF has manufactured series 120 and 121 for RENFE, units for Turkish Railways, and trains for the Airport Express line in Norway, operated by Flytoget AS.

Oaris, our high-speed train platform, represents the pinnacle of innovation. It has proprietary technology and a capacity for over 500 seats, with modularity that allows for diverse configurations to ensure maximum passenger comfort.
Our investment and experience in R&D have led to the development of Oaris, CAF’s family of high-speed trains capable of reaching 350 km/h. Created using highly reliable proprietary technology, it incorporates the latest advancements in design, accessibility, safety, and comfort.
Oaris is a configurable modular solution of 4 to 8 cars, offering a fleet capable of carrying large numbers of passengers. Its interior, customised to meet each client's needs, provides optimal service and is equipped with the latest innovations in safety and comfort, ensuring a superior travel experience.
The Oaris platform incorporates technology to allow full interoperability across tracks with different gauges, signalling systems, and electrical supplies.
Its versatility allows for tailored solutions to meet every client's needs. Configurations can vary in the number of cars, with the possibility of having 2 or 4 doors in intermediate cars. Oaris also offers a wide range of interior options, including variable-length cafeteria areas, different seat spacing, various luggage modules depending on train capacity, variable numbers of toilets, PRM areas, and more.
Oaris's high performance ensures high levels of safety and reliability throughout its lifecycle, which is key to providing clients with a safe fleet and continuous, uninterrupted service. The standardised design and specifications of its components simplify long-term maintenance, and the train’s structure, with reduced axle loads, minimises track wear to reduce operational and maintenance costs.
Oaris integrates the most advanced technology in energy efficiency, aerodynamics, and noise reduction to address sustainability demands, as well as reduce energy consumption and CO2 emissions. The high efficiency of its traction units, the train’s low weight, material recyclability, and sound absorbers are key elements in its design. Regenerative braking optimises performance, while real-time driver assistance (Driver Advisory System) and intelligent auxiliary systems (Intelligent Stabling) further reduce energy consumption.
